Suite beginnings is taken from our debut concerts and features suites from the rich string repertoire including the magnificent Holberg Siute by Grieg as well as the delightful St. Paul's Suite by Holst and our first commissioned work, Variations on Thaxted by Wheaton composer Jonathan Blumhofer.  The theme Thaxted is the well known hymn tune I Vow To Thee My Country by Holst also to be found as Jupiter in the Planets Suite.  Blumhofers writing   really shows off the rich texture of a string orchestra.
